This C64 Sunday we play Seven Cities of Gold the game ranked 63 in our top 100 c64 games as ranked by Lemon 64 on August 31st 2014.
Published by Electronic Arts in 1984, Seven Cities of Gold was a classic and one of the first exploration style games around. Pretty advanced for the time you search for a new world to explore. If you so choose you can even have the game generate a whole new world so you truly are making discoveries not just relying on your old geography lessons. Peace or war you get to make the choice. You can create Missions and forts either way and the better you do the more the crown likes you and gives you more money to fund further expeditions.
This game was expertly programmed by Dan Bunten, Bill Bunten, Jim Rushing & Alan Watson who also worked on M.U.L.E. together. The Music was by Roy Glover who as far as I know only did music for this game. The Graphics were done by an unknown artist so if you know who did them let me know!
