Severance S2E1 “Hello, Ms Cobel” Breakdown Recap & Review *SPOILERS*
33Severance S1 was released in 2022 – one of the best years for TV in recent memory. It ended up fairly low on my Top 10 … at #8 … but that’s more of a testament to how strong 2022 was than anything else. The Bear S1, Reservation Dogs S2, 1883, Andor … these are just some of the shows I had above Severance that year and … no regrets.
But any show in my Top 10 that year could have made a play for the #1 spot, and that applies to Severance. It was one of my favorite shows to cover, and now here we are … finally … in 2025 … after all the delays … and S2 has finally arrived.
What I liked about this episode is that it accomplished a very simple task – setting up the season by giving everyone reasons to want to stay at Lumon – but it did that simple task in the most Severance way possible.
