Baxtertimewell made a video of this way back in August 2006, but he didn't show how to get there. Whenever I tried this before an invisible wall prevented me from landing on the lower section of the bridge, but there's a gap in the invisible wall that you can fall through if you are in the right postion.

From the lower section of the bridge you can jump into the water and get dragged to shore. You can see a line in the water with one side darker green and the other (on the shore side) a lighter green. If you jump into the dark green side you get the death camera and die, so make sure you jump past it.

So this is another way to get down from the bridge after climbing up the temple, another legitimate area to explore or something else to do once up there ; )

Note: This only works in the NTSC version. I tried it in the PAL version and it doesn't work - which means you can't do this in the PS3 version either.
