Trying out Normal Arcade Mode and testing the Save mechanics. I had to look it up but you can save in arcade mode. You just have to trigger a game over screen and then exit through that game over menu. If you exit the game through the pause menu you lose all your progress. Very shitty. Once its saved its locked in but you have to remember to exit that way or youll lose whatever progress since your last save. I had to redo the first stage when testing this out, so lost some time there.
Very good game so far. Some controls are a little delayed. Biggest annoyance is that its very easy to release ledges and fall to death. Have to get used to how this game does that. I started off using a worse Dpad on the Flydigi Apex Pro 4 and switched to the 8bitdo M30 for stage 2 and on. Thats my main controller for 2D games usually. The control felt alot better once I switched controllers, aside from the ledge issue.
I downloaded this for the Switch emulator too, so I should have another playthrough of the game up at some point, after I finish this one.
