Shadow[of the Beast]fax Commodore 64 mockup
Trees are converted from Amiga Shadow the beast 1. Horses are just 1 sprite each (X+Y expanded) so up to 7 enemy horses on screen at once. Trees are non parallax scrolling. Lightning bolt would be a single pixel high light blue raster line and a change of enemy horse sprite colour, MC1, MC2 and background colours to Grey 3 for a few frames to simulate blinding flash of lightning. Enemy rider+horse sprite changed to just a horse sprite if hit. +/- 4 pixels of enemy riders vertical sprite position for collision. Sprite priorities changed on the fly based on lowest vertical position value = lowest priority sprite used first from hardware sprite 7 to 0. Now if somebody wants to code up this shit..............lol
