Yeah so that balance patch that nerfed Puppets, made matchups a bit easier. Puppets erase board presence with the early game and you would be hard to get that early damage. Handless blood is less popular now.

So I've seen those tournament lists, and I agree with a bunch of them. So I mixed a good amount of them. Limiting myself to 1 Rayne is big as I don't really need the extra evo unless it's with Piercye and I don't like drawing into extra copies, games don't need it unless you're playing Control. I've seen some list play 1 Piercye because they have 3 Carbuncle. I'm adding the extra copy because the board damage on ladder can come in big against Portal and Sword. Everybody seems to be ontop of the Leafman now, in a tournament setting people have Full Blast Gunner wiping Cosmos Fang and the full board without the evolution point. I play the 3 Carbuncle because I don't want to lose against control, I want to be able to counter with the Noble Fang if the Nobilis aggro doesn't work out.

I have cut the neutral cards out of my Cosmos Fang list, but this isn't control. I don't have Shining Valkyrie for that storm damage and I don't have Noxious Elf for that draw. Shining Valkyrie which combos really well with turn 7 Piercye is really good in aggro, with the followup after Nobilis. The reason I cut her is that it's very tough to play without the evo point and I don't want to have the higher end of the curve cluttered.
