Shallow Space is a Real Time Strategy game, utilizing all three dimensions of movement, all projectiles and weaponry are fully simulated and not pre-calculated further adding to the authenticity of the action. Particular emphasis is placed on the grouping of the ships into ‘Wings’, which will assist in managing operations and serve a particular purpose (fast attack, shield damage, hull damage, repair, etc). Your battlegroup will comprise several Flotillas of Wings, pre-equipped to your particular play style.
TCN command will grant you permission to construct ships according to blue prints and you’ll be given bulk resources to construct the smaller craft and their subsystem components. You can then construct the elements of your fleet placing the turrets and adding enhancements as you see fit. Officers will command your larger ships and as they progress the games detailed narrative they will level up, bringing new abilities to your ships.
Command a wide range of craft, each with their own unique characteristics and fit them for a variety of tasks. Corvettes, Frigates, Cruisers and Battle Cruisers will supplement your Capital ships and they can be equipped with a number of kinetic, energy, missile & torpedo weaponry to help achieve victory.
The Shallow Space universe will be rich in lore and you’ll find short stories, vignettes and news articles across this site supplementing the game’s storyline. Learn how the various factions compete for resources, discover the political machinations of the major corporations and learn who your true friends are. The delicate unity of the human race hangs in the balance as in-fighting grips all 12 colonies in this seemingly Shallow Space.
And then, there is the great unknown…
