A '65 Twin is one of the most sought after clean tones ever. That's why the reissue does so well and that's why the you'll find a mega price tag on any good quality vintage specimens. Shift-Line are aware of this and have built us their Twin MKII Preamp that delivers a ton of the original's tone and features minus the weight, rarity and expense.
The Twin MKII is a preamp designed to sound and react like a '65 Twin's Normal Channel. I have to say that it achieves its gaol exceedingly well in an interface wrapper that is just as simple to use as the real thing. A Tung-Sol 12AX7 running at high voltage is the MKII's engine. Three band EQ, Master Volume, Gain, Send/Return FX Loop, Input, Output and Record Out with switchable Cab Sim are all the features you will probably ever need. But there's more! The Phones and Aux jacks allow quiet or personal playing and the Cab Sim always stays on phones output regardless of the toggle switch position for easy monitoring. Couple all of this with the Twin MKII's extraordinary build quality, ease of use and stellar sound and, folks, we have a winner.
