Shining Force CD: Book 1 - Battle #6 [Magnus Style/Super Hard Mode]

Challenge Details:
-No Deaths (Fire Emblem Style): Since characters can be revived after a battle, taking an FE approach will spice up the challenge.
-Minimal Grinding: This is to enhance the set challenge. What this one means is that I won't go completely out of my way to level 20 promote ALL of my characters that I plan to use by abusing the Egress (retreat) spell. With the exception of grinding for the Heroes, Healers, and Mages, I won't dedicate a lot of time to grinding, and when grinding time DOES roll around, it'll be off-record, for the sake of time. I will sync any aftermath-grinding with cutscenes via edits and let you know when I did a grind.
-Playing on Super Hard all the way from Book 1 to 4. Might have to bend the rules a bit during Book 4, but we'll see...

Enter Claude, the badass.
Our next unit, who's a flier, and quite frankly THE best birdman in all the Shining Force games, in my opinion. Birdmen tend to be strong, but so fragile to the point that's it's cringeworthy. Claude doesn't have that durability problem like his brethren in Shining Force 1 and 2, and if anything, he's more or less a flying non-magic Nick with a tad lower defense. He hits like a truck with a good weapon, and his above average durability allows him to rush in recklessly without much consequence in mid to late game when he's promoted. I won't lie and say that I'm a little biased with him, for Claude's one of my favorite characters in this game, not only because of his feats, but receiving bonus points for being the the coolest-looking birdman aesthetically. But trust me, when you see the guy in action some more, the hype is justified.
I used this battle here to catch him up and net most of the kills, since he's two levels behind, and he caught up relatively quick, plus beyond. Harvey Birdman with a sword's ready to tear through the front lines with Nick and Apis now. Thanks to him being a flier, Claude is unaffected by terrain and he receives 0 penalties to his Attack and Movement, making him one of your most reliable melee fighters.
As for this battle's strategy, not much to say here other than facing a load of Ratmen and meeting the second type of dwarf, Hell Soldier. Just another stupid dwarf with more HP and attack. Then we've got a little more intimidating Ratflies. They're stronger bats, but they hurt pretty bad in groups. You'll see more of them next battle, for the lone one here posses no threat.
So yeah, another breezy fight that doesn't warrant much of a strategy breakdown.
