In this video, Shinobi, released in 1989 for the Atari ST by Virgin Mastertronic.
Another side-scrolling arcade that I devoured and finished on many occasions back in the days has been ported to the ST. This arcade is the famous Shinobi whos mission is to free kidnapped childs and kill the head of a criminal organisation in a 5 levels quest, armed with shurikens, a sword and a magical prayer which works as a smart bomb. IMHO the ST port is pure s**t: instead of a funny fast pacing action game we have a slow motion boring uninspired game. The graphics are nearly horrible, the sprites bad defined and bad animated, we have a jerky scrolling, the controls are laggy, the music is poorly rendered and the sound fx are just bad. Change my mind.
