A very fun round indeed. Topped off with taking no actual damage at all.
But why does everyone seem to have difficulty with the rock-jumping? The only trouble comes from those flying fucktards, but even they're not a problem once you realise they only come from the right-hand-side of the screen. The miniboss is one retarded birdman. Stay on one side and throw powered-up shuriken at him when he's not flashing (hur hur hur), and he explodes in a plume of feathers after 4 'rounds'.
Zeed's Ninja Dojo is a much trickier area if you ask me, especially if you're not wanting to take any damage. Again, this is due to those flying bastards in the 'tall-room'. Those assholes will chuck shit at you when they're way off screen, and Sod's Law says you're heading straight into whatever projectile they just lobbed. To rub it in, the fuckers will be well-away by the time you recover, ready to lob more irritating crap at you once you get back to your original position.
Zeed himself... Bleh. Using Ikazuchi renders him almost useless for both parts, unless during the second phase he acts like a prick and constantly appears from a doorway which grants him invulnerability until he re-emerges. Still, if you have the power-up, he can be topped in one burst.
Then he'll reappear, wreathed in flames, just to scare the shit out of you one last time before exploding, never to be seen again.
