In this episode, we solve a light puzzle from a skull. We take a boat to Crossing Island. We doot doot some pots to enter the Gardens. And we use a key to gain our freedom.

This is Quern - Undying Thoughts. Released in November 2016 by Zadbox Entertainment, and built with the Unity engine. It was recommended to me by one of my viewers, and it intrigued me enough to play it.

Quern seems more like a successor to Myst and Riven than Obduction did. The art style seems to match Riven at least. I feel almost homesick as I play.

Much like Obduction, you start off teleporting to another world, a world full of puzzles and mysteries to solve. Unlike Obduction, there are no other characters to interact with. There's a narrator that welcomes you and explains the world through a series of collectible letters hidden behind sequential puzzles. The longer you play, the more you'll learn.
