While passive funds are where fubd managers track investments of benchmark indices and make the necessary changes in their scheme. There is another type of investing that is relatively new and is gaining traction in the Indian Mutual Fund industry – that’s factor based Investing or smart beta funds . As per reports these funds often have outperformed than their benchmarks. They make investments based on slew of factors like Alpha, Quality, Value & Low Volatility.
