In this video we discuss the SiliconDust HD Homerun Prime, how to use it with Comcast Xfinity Cable, the integration with Android TV via the nVidia Shield TV, the Live Channels app and Plex.

There have been a ton of questions regarding the hardware and software needed to cut the cord. Even one of my close friends, whom I consider technically savvy, is struggling with being able to cut the cord from DirecTV. One of the easiest ways to cut the cord is with the HD Homerun from SiliconDust, either the Extend or Prime. This system works great for converting video from your antenna or cable card to something you can share on your home network. Combine this with an nVidia Shield TV running Live Channels or Plex Media Server and you get an all-in-one DVR Cord Cutting solution.
