Xenoblade Chronicles has one of my favorite overall OSTs, and included in the standout tracks is Shulk and Fiora's theme. A re-arrangement of the game's main theme, it was originally done by the dream team of Yoko Shimomura as the composer and ACE+ as the arranger. So when the theme this time around was to pick from a hand-chosen list of games that included XC1, this track stood out to me.

The original track feels rather intimate, being used for some of Shulk and Fiora's more tender moments. For my arrangement, I focused on keeping the emotional feel and general road map, but changing up the style. With the amount of electric piano and the slower shuffle beat, I was visualizing a slow dance when writing a lot of it. It picks up a bit near the end, but that's at least the feel I was going for in the beginning sections.
