Space Quest: Chapter II: Vohaul's Revenge, is the second installment in the long-running and beloved sci-fi parody series by Sierra On-Line veteran dream-team Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy - also known as the "Two Guys from Andromeda". Released in 1987, just a year after the first game in the series, it returns the player into the shoes of the dubiously heroic protagonist of the series, Roger Wilco, as he is kidnapped by Sludge Vohaul, creator of the Star Generator, and forced to crash land on the surface of the hostile alien planet Labion, where he must fight for his life against hostile flora and fauna, and find his way back off the planet, in order to foil Vohaul's plan to infest Xenon with an army of genetically engineered life insurance salesmen.
Space Quest II was, similar to its predecessor, well received by the gaming public, and lauded for its advancements in animation, puzzles, and a more intuitive text parser. It sets up one of the main long-running villains of the Space Quest series, Sludge Vohaul, and also was listed as one of Sierra's Top 5 bestselling games, selling more than 1.2 million copies in 9 years of retail sale.
The NPCs are playing the Apple IIGS EGA version of Space Quest using the GSPlus emulator.
