It is important that secondary school children are exposed to the idea of future literacy because it helps them develop the skills and knowledge they will need to navigate and thrive in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world.

Future literacy involves being able to think critically and creatively about the long-term impacts of present actions, as well as being able to anticipate and adapt to potential future developments and challenges. These skills are essential for young people to prepare for their future roles as citizens, workers, and leaders in an increasingly interconnected and rapidly evolving global society.

Additionally, being exposed to the concept of future literacy can help young people to develop a sense of agency and responsibility for shaping their own futures and the future of their communities and the world. It can also encourage them to take a proactive and proactive approach to learning and development rather than simply reacting to the demands of the present.
