Silver and Espio - The Wholesome Relationship We Don’t Deserve
525About 11 years ago, I played Sonic Rivals 2 for the first time. I intentionally bought this game to play the Sonic and Shadow storylines, but was surprisingly enamored for Silver and Espio's story. You would never expect these two characters to ever interact, and yet they have one of the most memorable and wholesome partnerships. I’ve enjoyed this rare pair’s interactions ever since, and their infrequent on-screen connections strike me as one of the most captivating, under-represented and fascinating relationships in the Sonic franchise. In a way, their relationship is the complete opposite of Shadow and Eggman’s dynamic.
