2Shortly after I made this video it turned out the wallet was actually for a NPC in another town in the end, also thankfully you don't have to complete every side quest to get the good ending.
If you are playing for achievements however you can only do 9-10 side quests to obtain the normal ending which is how the final achievement is unlocked.

One of the better known RPG Maker games in recent years. A more typical rpg with over 20 hours of content. I haven't gotten very far in it, but it's solid. There's a sequel as well, but its not free.

This game was made in only six weeks, but it's a great example of what can be done with the engine. There is combat, but the real focus of the game is on exploration and solving the mystery of what happened to the town.

The only game on this list that isn't actually finished. But it's so good that you should check out the demo nonetheless.
Final Fantasy: Blackmoon Prophecy: http://rpgmaker.net/games/427/
A Final Fantasy fan game. There are a few out there, but this is one of the best. It captures the feel of the classic FF games very well, while having an original story.
