Our household can only buy the cheapest possible furniture/decor, appliances, and whatnot (excluding 0$ items). Starting house size is determined with a D20 x D20.

Reaching certain milestones can increase this limitation to the second-cheapest option and so on, the current milestones are as follows-
i) Make 1/3/5 friends (excluding household members)
ii) Reach Lv3/6/9 in Career
iii) Reach Lv 4/8 in a Skill (once only)
iv) Reach Lv5 in (n+1) Skills
v) Earn 2500/5000 Simoleons (once only)

For every 3(?) milestones met, we can add a new Sim to the household. The milestones can be reachieved by the new Sim too
