Ten years ago in 2027, the city of Freeport was on the verge of collapse. The under manned police forces were losing the battle against crime.
Several well respected sec-forces were established. Colonel John Blade, the owner of HARDCORPS, is trying to track down the source of a drug the called "U4".
This highly addictive drug has been around for some time, but lately strange things have been happening to its users.
It is up to Blade to find out what is happening; figure out who or what is behind the weird problems now plaguing the streets; and put a stop to it.

This version of the game is extremely different than the original game, first of all there are no CG fmw in the game anymore (except the ending). Second the gameplay is more a straightforward shooter, no more vehicles to use, no computer terminals to interact and no routing with alternative paths any more.

There is also a score counter now at top right and left of the screen (the game is playble in lan co-op), killing enemies fast or hit them in the head grant a special score bonus, same for continues headshot or fast aiming kills also grant a score multiplier.

Like the original, there are three different types of body armor for the legs, for the torso and for the head, with each of them depleting separately according to where the player is hit.
The enemies can run for cover, call for reinforcements, locate the player, and respond to specific scripts, but in this version they are too much bullet sponge.

There only 4 maps playable in the single player version of this game: Free Port City Bank, Abandoned Buildings, Construction Zone and Abandoned Subway.
Every level is divided in multiple short sub-levels with primary and secondary objectives to complete (in this version they grant only more score).

At end of every level, the player score is rewarded for enemies killed and how fast a level is complete.

As you can see for yourself the game is much much shorter than the original pc game, this is perfectly understandable since it's now an arcade game and needs to be more fast-paced.

The game supports also lan multiplayer up to 4 players, you pick a character, choose a name and then you can setup different games modes to play, but the most common and still play to this day is Deathmatch.
