Georgian-born Katie Melua has been giving the troops out in theatre a well-needed morale boost on her tour around Helmand.

One of the biggest selling UK-based female artists, she took time to go to three different forward operating bases to meet the men and women of the Armed Forces.

She put on a special intimate acoustic concert, which included her number one singles, 'The Closest Thing to Crazy' and 'Nine Million Bicycles.'
