Sir Lovelot is a 2D platformer in the same vain as Super Meat Boy or Celeste. While Sir Lovelot doesn't live up to the titan-like reputations of it's predecessors, it does manage to be a solid silver medal. The gameplay, animations, cheeky humor, and quirky sound track all pull together a cohesive and entertaining experience. What is missing however, is any new creative elements. Sir Lovelot never carves out anything unique for itself to stand out and be memorable. Instead, its strictly basics approach to the genre manages to execute and entertain, but will fail to leave a lasting impression.
