My current strategy.

I'm planning out a speed run of .hack//G.U. Vol.2//Reminisce, and a minor part of it involved careful study of each of the 2nd form avatar battles. I'm still looking for improvements I could make that wouldn't have to do with pure luck (i.e. if it doesn't use this attack you gain a few seconds...), so comment if you know something. I left in the drain cutscene at the end of battle just because I wanted to.

Innis' greatest weakness is its low stats; it can't attack or take damage well. It makes up for that in abilities, but once you study this Phase, even that is lost in a sea of predictability. Here's how Innis works in a nutshell:

- It always starts with its melee attack. You can see when it goes into this because it starts moving in short bursts (ever seen how Doppelganger walks toward you on a field? This is similar). During this time, go crazy shooting at it.

- Haze of Treason, or rather, "Nobody ever looks at me!!", is a counterattack. That's it. Whether you're using the scythe or shots, if she starts screaming at you it's because you attacked at the wrong time. Before it starts using Confusion Flight or Data Drain, it isn't wise to provoke her; just wait for her melee attack. For speed purposes though, you may have to initiate her counter since the clock is ticking. To be clear, this counter is available to her in-between fireball volleys. While she's launching them, however, she can't counter if you time your shot correctly.

- Confusion Flight activates only somewhere below 1/4 energy or after Data Drain, while Data Drain can activate at maybe 1/3ish. If you're good and lucky, dealing out damage at the right times, manipulating her melee attacks and counters correctly, will let you avoid Data Drain altogether.

The only other advice I can give is that while her stuns are longer after Haze of Treason fails as opposed to shot-induced stuns, she takes less damage from them as well. Practice makes perfect on Innis.
