Skip and ENTIRE BOSS with this Easter Egg (Yoshi's Island, SNES)
911Yoshi's Island for the SNES hides this secret in plain sight, and it's got to be my favorite Easter Egg of all time. It involves skipping the boss battle against Naval Pirhanha in a rather obvious way, so maybe you figured this one out as a kid!
Enter world 3-8: Naval Piranha's Castle. Cautiously approach the boss room where you would normally fight Naval Piranha.
Typically, when you enter this room, the camera will pan to the right to reveal a Piranha Plant on the bridge platform. Then, Kamek shows up and casts his magic on this Piranha Plant to transform him into a gargantuan beast that you must fight.
But! If you throw an egg from off screen and strike the Piranha Plant before the cutscene occurs, Kamek will show up and exclaim "OH MY!" and the Piranha Plant will explode! This skips the entire boss fight!
