Very interesting gimmick! The colour of the slime changes based on whatever coloured skull token you picked up. The secrets are behind these translucent coloured slime walls and you need to have the right slime colour to access them, so plan your route carefully!
IMPORTANT STUFF:
0:24 - There is a skull token behind the green slime wall near the start (SECRET 1)
1:28 - There is a backpack behind the blue slime wall in the cave (SECRET 2)
1:41 - Collecting the blue skull token in front of the switch in the cave will give you an extra 90 seconds (1 minute 30 seconds)
2:23 - From the ledge with the switch outside the cave, jump across to the ledge with the revenant and a gold skull token (SECRET 3)
2:47 - In the room with the rocket launcher, head through the tunnel with the chaingunner. There are many skull tokens behind the gold slime wall there (SECRET 4)
3:21 - Outside the cave, there is a red slime wall. There is a red armor behind it (SECRET 5)
4:50 - After collecting all the skull tokens, a soul sphere appears in front of the middle switch in the final room
