Skully is a Platformer where you control a Marble (well a round skull with a lump of (magic) clay in it) and you roll around or roll down slopes if you don't hold your control stick in the other direction. But the controls are still good, the physics are somewhat toned down a notch, so that you still have control the most of the time. It's interesting to see such game in a dirty/muddy sourroundings. I saw similar games, where the ground is usually flat and industrial cleaned, so this this a nice change. Coming back to your little Hero named Skully, you're literally just a skull, that got revieved by magic infused mud. This mud forms a ball inside your skull. But water washes away that live giving mud, so you need to stay on land and don't want to get a bath.
Aside from rolling around, you can also jump, climb/stick on walls with vines and a bit later you can turn into a mud golem, or better say you steer that golem around while being inside of it. As mud golem you can move on 2 feet, so no more rolling down slopes, you can also do a hefty punch which destroys thin walls and you can do a earth shatter do destroy these water blobs.
The game crashed on me, in the change between chapter 1 and chapter 2 but it autosaves on every checkpoint (magical mud puddles) which are placed in good places so far. So even after the crash i startet at chapter 2, so i was a bit further then i was when the game crashed. Maybe some cutscene should play, but was missing, I don't know. But this was one crash and it didn't do that afterwards.
