Sky Target - Arcade Model 2 - Intro with full longplay and ending [1080p 60fps]
The first entry into the After Burner series to be rendered in full 3D, Sky Target keeps the core series gameplay but adds in some new ideas to the franchise. This is in part due to the fact that it was the first game not to be designed by Yu Suzuki of AM2 and instead was developed by AM1.
What we got was a fast paced follow up to After Burner, that did away with some of the less welcome changes added in by G-LOC: Air Battle and Strike Fighter. Sky Target adds in boss battles with huge vehicles at the end of every mission and a route selection feature, giving the game a bit more replay value. Stages also have a bit more variate to them with one stage set flying through a city, while another has you flying through an enemy based. There's a lot more enemies types as well with ground artillery, ships and helicopters being some of the new units added. Not an easy title to finish owning to the rather hard difficulty in the arcade version some ships are able to do 25% damage to your plane in a single hit.
Overall a good entry to the series, that doesn't get talked about that often in part down to the arcade having a bit of a limited release it would appear. While there are home port, the Sega Saturn and PC release feature a number of cuts and changes from the arcade version, Stage 4 for example doesn't have the clouds in either home version. Video is a full playthrough / longplay of the game on the Model 2 emulator.

Captured with the Model 2 emulator, note the emulation is only about 90% complete, so there are some glitches present in the video not in the original arcade hardware. The name entry screen at the end of the video is one section not working correctly.
