I am impressed by the quality of the updated figures, but no improvements were made to the Starter Pack packaging. I had some issues with lag on the first level, but hopefully that was temporary.

The game appears to run off the same engine as the first 3DS game, however it's now N-space instead of Vicarious Visions listed as the developers. I'll look into it eventually.

Cynder and the portal are glow-in-the-dark, meaning, put it under a light for a few minutes, then turn all the lights off!

The packaging is again just a piece of thin white formed plastic. The characters are in there so tight, i was worried about damaging them while removing them.

However all non-starter pack characters have great packaging, and can be used while in the packaging, for all you collector-types out there!

The four Adventure Packs (additional levels) from the first game can be imported into this game. Also, you can import EVERY original skylander into this game. But new skylanders can't be used in the original game, pretty much forcing you to buy the new game. It's worth it, though :)
