Hi! We're back with another Fun Build for Skyrim. In this video I will show you how to use a Pickaxe build in Skyrim. Pickaxes in Skyrim have a use beyond mining! Today we're going to find out if it's even viable. This Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim build consists of dual wielding two pickaxes, using heavy armor and enchanting, but no smithing because improving pickaxes is possible, which I only found out about after putting in 10 hours into this project, because the info in the wiki is incorrect. Which is a damn shame, but very in character for this channel.

One Handed Perks:
Armsman rank 5, doubles one handed damage, requires level 80
Dual Flurry rank 2, dual wielding attacks are 35% faster, requires level 50
Dual Savagery, Dual wielding Power attacks do 50% more damage, requires dual flurry and level 70
Fighting stance, power attacks cost 25% less stamina, requires level 20
Savage strike, Standing Power attacks do 25% more damage and gives you a chance to decapitate someone, which is pretty hardcore. Requires level 50
Critical Charge, Sprinting Power Attack does double critical damage, requires level 50
Paralyzing Strike, Backwards power attack has 25% chance to paralyze, requires level 100
Hack and Slash, Rank 3; Attacks with axes cause extra bleeding damage, requires level 90.

In total, this will cost you 15 perk points and requires level 100 one-handed.

Smithing:
While it cannot be used to improve the pickaxe as a weapon, you can use it to make other worthwhile armor. As such, it’s definitely worth leveling in this build

Heavy armor:
It’s whatever you want really. You could even level up your alchemy, enchanting and smithing to the point where you will reach the soft armor rating cap with just iron armor, so be creative.

Enchanting:
The bread and butter of any build when trying to break the game, along with alchemy.
For this build, you’ll need:

Enchanter, rank 5 - new enchantments are 100% stronger, requires level 80
Fire Enchanter - Fire enchantments on weapons are 25% stronger, requires level 30
Insightful Enchanter, Skill Enchantments on armor are 25% stronger, requires level 50
Corpus Enchanter; Healh, Magicka and Stima Enchants are 25% stronger, requires level 70
Extra effect: Allows for double enchantments on an item, has to be done during enchanting and requires level 100. How this perk got past balance testing is beyond me.

Total: 9 perk points, and 100 enchantment.
