Skyrim: The Two Ways Players Use Their Followers
Hi! In this video I showcase the two ways Skyrim players generally tend to use their followers.
Skyrim players either love their followers, or hate them. This video showcases the extent of how far that can go.
Disclaimer: Someone posted about Arenea as a follower on a Facebook Group and I used most what was said in this video, this is the original text. To the person who wrote the OG story, let me know how you want to be credited:
I don't really like followers. I like to get things done myself in my own pace. So I never had one for more than a few minutes before they started to annoy me, bye... But Then I went to the shrine of Azura. A majestic but lonely shrine on top of the Mountain. There I met Aranea for the first time. She was praying there for years. She gave me a quest... I accepted and forgot about it. Months went by. Maybe a year in the game. Then I found Azura's star. I took it Back to her, here ya go, bye... But Then... We talked. She told me that her life feels kinda fulfilled now and she didnt know what to do. She became lonely for the first time in his life of loneliness. My heart ached. I felt sorry for her. So I sad, ye, why not, come with me. It will be better for her even if she is an annoying follower. She was quite the opposite. She was clever, silent and an awesome conjurer. We fought many battles together, discovered caves, sat at tables of Jarls, Burnt in dragonfire. we even attended the meeting of truce at the greybeards side by side. I grew very fond of her. Then she fell. In the battle of Magnus against Ancano at Winterfell. In the heat of the battle I didnt even realise it until the fight was over. I stood against her dead body for what felt like hours. Nothing was to be done. She was lifeless. It took me tens of minutes to lay her body on a bench because of the shitty grasping system. But i wanted it to be right. To be perfect. It felt like buying her. I miss her today. In real life as well. Goodbye my friend. May the rays of Azura welcome you and we shall sit by the fire in Sovngarde together someday, Aranea
