Sleeping Dogs On Intel HD 3000 How 3D and none 3D resolutions halve or double FPS
So my 2nd play test of Sleeping Dogs : playing 3d and none 3D at all resolutions starting with 3D play at 768 by 400 ,1024 by 768 then switching off 3d which leads to an almost doubling of frame rate at each resolution. Anything south of 768 by 400 will give you close to 20 fps in 3D , which may not sound like much but it looks pretty impressive when playing in 3D on a virtual 100 inch screen of the ST1080. Yesterdays test showed lag at 1024 by 768 ,this was due to my playing with 3D enabled . It is early days for Sleeping Dogs as a PC release so give the developer time to update the code. The new patch already fixes screen scaling issues for me. The game itself has an impressive depth of field effect even without 3D enabled and getting 20 to 25 fps from an Intel HD3000 is not bad. Though Max Payne 3 looks so awesome on the same hardware...and in 3D more to follow....and check out the speed of the last resolution change... N.B. I see no sbs option for 3D the ST1080 sees it as framepacked..
