Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus is a PS2 platformer game developed by Sucker Punch and published by Sony in 2002. The game follows the titular character, Sly Cooper, and his friends, Bentley and Murray, as they seek out criminals known as the Fiendish Five to recover pages of the Thievius Raccoonus, a book of all of Sly's ancestors' thieving moves. To find the pages, players are encouraged to use stealth and the environment to evade or silently dispatch of potential threats.
Sly's main weapon is his cane, which he also uses to navigate the environment. He can also gain new abilities by finding clue bottles around each level and opening its safe. The abilities range from a dive to a quick roll or even creating decoys.
Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus is available on the PS3 store as part of The Sly Collection for $14.99.
