Well, Version 9.0.0 is out for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, and with it, came a new character, that is, Steve from Minecraft!

My personal thoughts? Well, he's got a mixed bag. Diamond weapons hurt, and his moves are more on the quick side (aside from down tilt), not to mention the shenanigans with TNT blocks for ledgeguarding. Spacing aerials isn't too bad, but I think he might have trouble getting people off of him. Oh yeah, FAir can spike, which is hilarious if you get it, especially given how quick Steve's FAir is.

On the other side, his disadvantage can be troubling, especially if you're running low on materials. Also, his movement isn't that fast, so I feel like he suffers from Falco/Kirby syndrome a bit, despite the disjoint. Also, be careful, his Up B can be kind of finicky.
