I got the desk cleared off, and while I miss gazing at the 8296, I need the space to test, assess, and yes, even torture things to ensure that they are in good operational condition. Today I look at the two 1541-II's that were shipped to me, but very poorly packaged, so that one did indeed lose the face plate, and there is a crack in the case of the other...sigh...bubble wrap is so effective while newspaper can be a good supplemental part of a good shipment, it is not effective when things are sent into the Canada Post Abyss...well, soon we shall see if the damage is tragic or workable, fixable, etc...and we will explore the contents of the 1541 TEST/DEMO Disk that came with every 1541 with an assortment of utility programs...some even written by Jim Butterfield! Onward...oh, one more note...I had trouble finding this video on my iPad so I had to split it in two...that is why there are two parts to this video...thanks for watching and commenting, etc!
