Smite 2 | Conquest | Ymir #1 (Alpha Weekend 1)
Smite 2 (Alpha Weekend 1) Conquest Ymir Gameplay. I got stuck playing Support in this match but it gave me the opportunity to test one of my favourite Support Gods with Ymir, another character that carries some serious weight to his attacks in Smite 2. The ice slam feels really impactful and the developers have done a great job making those attacks feel epic, even with my graphical issues this really felt satisfying.
I had my mouse sensitivity too low here so there were a few issues with that which I fixed in later matches.
Apologies for the graphical issues and weird issues with the game, this was the very first Alpha weekend for Smite 2 Founders and it really showed. The game feels a long way off from release and the polish that Smite 1 has developed over the years certainly isn't here yet. My main gripe was texture quality and resolution, I play in 4k where I can and that was not supported in this build of the game resulting in weirdness. Hopefully by the time Alpha Weekend 2 comes they will have addressed that. But so far so good!

SMITE 2 is a free-to-play online MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) and ARTS (action real-time strategy) game, and a sequel to SMITE, developed by Titan Forge Games and published by Hi-Rez Studios. The was announced on January 12, 2024, and is set to release on PC, Xbox X/S and PlayStation 5. Much like its predecessor, in SMITE 2 players choose from a large selection of playable gods, immortals, and creatures from ancient mythology and join session-based arena combat. Each of the playable characters have their own unique abilities and fighting styles. The gameplay is mostly centered around a 5-versus-5 gamemode, where the objective is to siege the opposing team's base, and take down their Titan.
SMITE 2 is the online battleground of the gods. Players choose from a diverse cast of deities and use their unique powers to triumph over the opposition in 5v5 team matches. SMITE 2 continues the previous game's original take on the MOBA genre; rather than observing the action from above, the game's third-person perspective puts players into the thick of combat. Instead of clicking the mouse to move, players use the familiar WASD keys to move and fight their way through SMITE 2's dynamic battlegrounds.
