Figured this would be a fun MOTD to record since I don't play Ares really. Why? His kit just...I dunno doesn't excite me. Beads just wreck him. It's been since Norse vs South that I played Ares.
This MOTD though.. Beads don't matter since you WILL be pulled eventually with how often No Escape is up and with Five Ares to worry about it's going to up often. At the end of the game the cooldown is like nothing! The way to win this MOTD? Big team fights with no Escape going in your favor, lots of grouping up. If you try to rush in alone you'll die like one of my team-mates did... Why he thought rushing towards their side of the arena was alone was a good idea I don't know...but none of us could save him from himself or the other team who promptly swarmed him.
Builds are the other part about this. I noticed some Ares building Aura items just for the passive bonus and I think that can be a waste. Our top Ares choices of Rod of Tahuti, Ethereal Staff seemed to have paid off. Not sure about the Pestilence lots of our guys were picking up though but it does provide magic defense and the aura bonus from his passive.
The odd thing I noticed as well was the Ares who did the most magic damage only had 4 kills and bought cooldown boots despite them not working in this MOTD lol. But with so many pulls and such going on I guess it makes sense you wouldn't get all the kills you want or deserve.
Also yeah this was a close one but mostly since we had shaky team work at times. I really hoped and thought the allied Ares behind me would know to stop the siege instead of just trying to get last hits and letting it pass lol. Well sometimes it's best just to do it yourself you know...
Did better than I thought I would though considering I'm not an Ares fan.Also shoutouts to the Ares on the other team who had the Gaogaigar inspired name.
