Ok, first off this was my second time playing this mode. Next I know I messed up there at the start upon watching what transpired, it was the fog that caused the aggro. That was my bad...

Siege is the upcoming mode in SMITE, this is the beta of it as recorded from the public test server! This new mode is neat, there is no middle lane, two big lanes one large jungle the middle! The goal is to get Siege units whom will REALLY destroy structures with ease. Creep kills and God kills count towards spawning Siege units basically OR you can kill the Siege Monster, which right now is a silver Fury but will become that badass monster we saw in the art when they finish the model.

What can I say? This mode is brand new so it does confuse players at times XD. One thing is for sure, wards are key here! Definitely ward the Siege Monster zone, warding there proved to be key to winning this game as did taking team fights, we did have a better lineup for winning those battles it seems. Well although maybe a Guardian would have helped. I just wasn't gonna pick Athena again since well..Last Siege game EVERYONE was a flamer on our team demanding me to ult onto them after walking into 1 v 4s everytime..Even though we won...It was only since the other team had a leaver honestly, our team just kept arguing in chat more than playing.. :P Wasn't in the mood to put up big babies like that again....Luckily this time my team was actually GOOD and the only BMing they did was towards the Bastet on the other team.. They kept trying to say she's an easy Jungler? I dunno....Perhaps they don't like how easy she can escape at times or just weren't big fans of dying to her.

Gameplay wise this mode is like Conquest but with more freedom in the meta of it, people don't try to jungle and there's no mid. While yes you can get buffs but the jungle is more dangerous and more likely to be warded here. The typical setup seems to be 2 Gods on left lane and 3 on right lane but this is still the Beta of Siege mode so it may change soon.

So while I had issues early on, it got better. The theme of this game was redemption. We also had issues with killing the Siege Monster, I think that is where our team messed up mostly, we didn't ward it or control it often enough so they kept getting tons of Siege Units whereas we didn't....

I like this mode thus far, promotes more roaming and more team fights, since sure you get some with Fire Giant but here people generally will fight over the Siege Monster as it is a huge advantage to have.

As for my role this game? It was kinda weird..Mostly was offensive but in this mode anyone should ward IMO and I did. I was like third place on our team score wise and better than the opposing team's highest.

As for what I would tell Hi-Rez to change or adjust? Maybe make the Siege Monster harder to kill..Not as tough as Fire Giant but maybe give it something to add more danger to it. Although perhaps the true danger is the other team having wards there....

Oh and Osiris from what I've seen....He's in EVERY Siege game since right now this is the only way to try him out. He's pretty nasty folks. I'd have tried him out myself but...I'm just gonna do it when he's officially out on the main client.
