My first time ever doing a raid in an MMO, twas a good experience! A 24 player raid, this is the Crystal Tower-Labyrinth of The Ancients.
The Crystal Tower is a item level 55 Raid unlocked via story quests and it is pretty interesting. It mostly pays homage to Final Fantasy 3 but you can get some rather nice gear here, around item level 80. So while it won't beat Myth gear it'll still hold you over nicely until you can get Myth or better. You also get some myth for beating the bosses in here.
The Crystal Tower isn't too bad difficulty wise but if everyone is clueless or there are trolls it CAN end badly. If your group wipes before King Behemoth it's usually a red flag.
The plan the devs have for the CT is that it'll be a raid dungeon that saves your progress and you work your way to the top. As of right now there's only this first part, the Labyrinth of the Ancients that we can play. They'll probably add more soonish.
Also note I am wrong on the rolls, they have changed it, you can roll and get as much loot as you want provided you win the rolls. :P
This run was pretty smooth for the most part, only had one run go smoother in which we never wiped to KB. The
Atomos section also is...generally more painful than this since if one Alliance fails you all fail which sucks but luckily we did not fail.
Also note that in the Allagan Bomb section that it is wise to kill the balloons but the napalms are number one priority as they explode in the center doing big damage and make the Allagan Bomb get bigger. When the Allagan Bomb gets too big, it'll explode and kill all 24 players instantly. You must kill the Vassagos first to make the Bomb vulnerable.
I was glad I didn't attack the balloons too much in this video though since well, sometimes the tanks don't notice them and they aggro onto you, which can be bad for DPS.
After each boss(Bone Dragon, Thanatos,King Behemoth,Acheron) you will get some myth and loot! So you can get quite a lot if it goes well. Also note there is no echo bonus.
I also regret not watching the opening cutscene, needless to say looks way cooler watching with all the other players in it than when you replay it in your room.
