This being an Atlus game, Matador is one of those bosses that takes a look at unprepared newcomers and makes them spontaneously combust as a result. This guy is so infamous he's the present screenshot image for Atlus' very own page on TVTropes' That One Boss page. Yes, Atlus has such a long track record of obscene bosses it got it's own page, whereas other pages *just* list entire genres.

Of course a little grinding and some preparation makes all that moot. Matador is a boss that uses his Red Capote to buff his accuracy and evasion up so high you cannot hit him at all, and then proceeds to waste you with Mazan, a multi-target Wind/Force attack that you no longer have any chance of dodging. In turn I made sure most of my team is resistant, outright immune, and even absorbs Force, meaning Matador can't hurt me with his attacks, use Fog Breath to undo his Red Capote, and afterwards casually beat his face in.

If you can fuse one more daemon that NARs (Null/Absorb/Reflect, not an official term as far as I know) Force, this guy would be a complete, utter joke. You might be able to, I didn't go out of my way to find out at any rate.
