SMW Custom Sprite: Tap-Tap
10I...will...never...work...with...pixel-perfect tile offsets again! NEVER! NEVER EVER! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH! *takes deep breath* Anyway, this is a Tap-Tap from Yoshi's Island, made in custom sprite form for Super Mario World hacks. Yeah, smkdan already made one (as, I think, did Dispari Scuro, although she never released hers), but some people had trouble with it for some reason, and I also don't recall his having the ability to jump. By default, a combination of the extra bit and Y position determine whether it will walk or jump, whether it will stay on ledges or not (should have shown that off just to make sure that it worked), and whether it will jump low or high. And oh, yes: It has a variety of animation frames, and they are an ENORMOUS PAIN IN THE BUTT to get to look right. I was still fiddling with the animation long after I got the ASM part of the sprite to function correctly. Even now, it looks a little bit odd sometimes, particularly the jumping frames. But I have HAD it with trying to animate this sprite...let it and its crazy feet be frozen into the ninth circle of Hell by the blue watermelons of the divine. If anyone else wants to improve upon it (want the source code?), be my guest.
