Been sitting on this game for a while now, and decided to finally play it last Wednesday on stream. Figured I'd record it as well. First impressions of this game are admittedly not very strong--but before I get into that, let's talk about what I like.

The game is (I think) gorgeous. The dynamic backgrounds really bring the setting to life, and I've always been a sucker for 3D games set in a 2D space. What's more is that the comic-style cutscenes--namely the art style used in them--does wonders for setting the stage for a visually and thematically gritty cityscape in the midst of a zombie apocalypse.

All of that said, it's really unfortunate that the voice acting and overall writing is lacking, so much so that it makes it extremely difficult for me to care about anything that's going on. Granted, a 2D puzzle platformer doesn't need a stellar plot or script to be successful, provided that the gameplay is serviceable. I'm not sure this gameplay is serviceable quite yet.

In other news, I have footage from a Shadow of the Colossus playthrough that I started a couple(?) of weeks ago, but it may be unusable due to rendering issues. I may have a potential fix, but I thought the same thing two potential fixes ago. I'll do what I can, but don't hold your breath.

Things like this are a big part of why I upload so scarcely; I'd really like console playthroughs to work, but there's always -something-. What I am considering is habitually recording my PC playthrough stream and uploading them in segments, much like I'm doing here. At the very least, that'll get content to those that can't make it to the streams, and it'll sure as hell be easier for me to control and maintain.
