You might be wondering why I couldn't finish Toxic Plant, it's a bit of an interesting story. One that hurts, but still fascinating.

I had progressed in that map quite well, got most of the cards and just about set for the exit, when it threw an arena part at me right at the exit door. Now, it's not the arena bit that got me, the areas are big enough for me to stealth around the teleports and I've got enough sniper ammo to mop the floor with anyone that comes in, no biggie there. The problem was that the map was scripted to only open the exit once all enemies are dead. The thing about Sneaky Doom is that all of your movements and weapons are made to not alert enemies, which may also include enemies that are put in teleport boxes. Put the 2 and 2 together and you'll see why I can't finish Toxic Plant with Sneaky Doom.

I never quite liked this kind of script in arena based maps, I remember playing MMDCXIV/UAC Hangar a while back (couldn't do a no failure run, sorry) and got stuck in the midway as well due to this reason, though that one was caused by the one of the scripted enemies being a HERP that can't move to the teleport spot and come in to the area.

It's all a bit silly, but I guess that's what happens with mods. Compatibility and possibility of actually finishing the experience gets muddled when you throw in extreme conditions like stealth or vast mechanical changes to a game. I won't blame the map author for that, atleast.

Anyways, that's Darkmoon and Sneaky Doom put down for the moment. I'll continue this run when the full release is out, of course, but it'll be a toodles and see yas for now.
