SNES Composite vs S Video | Startech USB3HDCAP test

This is a Startech USB3HDCAP capture test. For composite I used original Nintendo A/V cables. For S Video, I used the Nintendo Gamecube AV Audio / Video/ S Video Cable by Komodo.
As you can see, this cable does improve the image, but the checkerboard effect is still visible on S Video.
