SNES/GX F-Zero Expert tries F-Zero Climax 1st Time *The πππ¦π§ F-Zero... π*
A gameplay video of the one F-Zero game I always wanted to play, the Japan-only release (for some reason, as English voicing is present) F-Zero Climax on the Game Boy Advance. Made in 2004, sadly, this particular title is the final F-Zero game as of today, which the series has remained dormant ever since. I seriously do not know why Nintendo is holding the series back so horribly for nearly two decades when cameos in Super Smash Bros and even Mario Kart still happen, and the Switch has capable controllers to handle the fast-paced racing. A real shame too because it is one of my favorite racing series and I am a master in all three home console releases from the SNES to Gamecube. F-Zero in my opinion is miles better than Mario Kart in spite being much tougher.
In terms of this game, just like with the others I physically owned, I attempted the highest difficulty (mostly Master) for true F-Zero experience. The gameplay/music is a mix of the original, X, and GX, but it does have flaws; the controls are slippery as heck, it's almost impossible to turn tight corners quickly (or I simply don't know how this game uses the drift), and the obstacles are much narrower than the original 1990 Super NES game, leaving very little room for error, which is especially bad since I'm playing on a keyboard. And, regardless of difficulty setting, the AI opponents are unfairly hard even in Novice. Nevertheless, I tried the best I possibly can using my high knowledge of the previous games.
Oh, and the Blue Falcon looked strange here. ONE thrust afterburner instead of four like it always has?
