I've been enjoying Skyrim VR quite a lot in the past three days, which brought back a bit of that thirst I had for good VR content. And it just so happened that this week marked the release of Sniper Elite VR. The gameplay of it looked strong, but the budget price of 33 canadian dollars. And the fact that the game is also available on the PSVR and Oculus Quest, made me kind of worried.

Is this a fully fledged Sniper Elite game? Or is it a 2 hour tech demo, with mobile game graphics, that barely has anything to do with the main franchise? I mean, expectations of VR content have gone a long way since Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot. But there was still reasons for me to worry.

For one thing, the compatibility list didn't include my specific headset type. Namely, Windows Mixed Reality. This usually doesn't mean much. Steam VR has a good history of enabling games that aren't natively compatible with Windows Mixed Reality. So, I ignored that and bought it anyway.

How does it fare?

Well, it's unplayable. It doesn't recognise the controllers at all. How do you make the game compatible with every goddamn device, including the fucking PS Move controller, but you can't even be bothered to give the most minimal level of support to the most accessible VR headsets on the PC market?

F you, Rebellion. I give your shi waste of my time a Broken out of Garbage.
