Review of Snow Linux 4 - Frosty, which is based on Ubuntu 13.04 and comes with a choice of Cinnamon and MATE desktops. I've tried this on a full system install and compared to Mint 15 it works a lot better: the installer is faster, stability is much better, bootup speed and responsiveness are quicker, and you have access to the Ubuntu Software Centre.
