Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley Gameplay Chapter 1 - Snufkin
Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is a 2024 video game based on the Moomins franchise. The player controls the wanderer Snufkin as he restores a dilapidated Moominvalley and searches for his disappeared friend Moomintroll.

Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is a story-rich musical adventure game about Snufkin restoring the valley and helping the quirky and memorable characters and critters who call it home. A series of hideous parks have cropped up in Moominvalley, disrupting the landscape and its harmonious nature. As Snufkin you will distract police officers, pull out signs, and knock over misplaced statues as you vigorously try to restore nature and the inhabitants’ home while putting an end to the industrious Park Keeper’s plans…
If you have watched Moominvalley before...every spring, Snufkin came to Moominvalley and leave when winter is near. Yes...the game starts at the time near winter, Moomintroll asks Snufkin if he would return to Moominvalley again which Snufkin said that he will always be back on Spring as usual. When the opening credit end, we can now control Snufkin.
I will explain the gameplay here since I already finished the game in one day before starting over again. As Snufkin, you have stamina meter, lantern when in dark place, and his iconic harmonica (You will get 2 more instruments later on. We will get into that part soon). Like what Snufkin said, your main goal is going to Moominvalley and find Moomintroll. Being a wanderer of nature, Snufkin is quite agile for his age as he can climb rocky wall, jump between platform easily and run quite fast at the cost of his limited stamina meter which you can increase by helping Muskrat in finding ingredients for his meal. Early on your way, a small nameless creature greets you and ever since then, he followed you wherever you go while at the same time, he will be your temporary guide here. Now notice that music bar at the top left? That's his inspiration bar...you can level up his inspiration by running into some bushes and plants or play a music for some animals which their sound will give Snufkin some inspiration. The higher his inspiration level, the more animals he can influence with his song. Level 1 allow Snufkin to play his harmonica on birds, bugs and sea creature, level 2 allows Snufkin to charm Creeps (These creatures are quite strong for their size)
