So I recreated the first level of Super Mario Bros. Wonder in Super Mario Construct... (read desc.)
231Hey everyone, sorry about another one of these, but I wanted this to be something special.
So today, Super Mario Bros. Wonder hits store shelfs, and I honestly can't be anymore happy that the "New" series is finally over, but unfortunately for me, I'm not gonna get to experience it yet, but last week I came up with an idea.
At this point, I've seen tons of people play a few of the demo levels at Target (wish their was a Target closer to where I live...) and upload them here, the first level, Welcome to the Flower Kingdom looked like a blast to play, but I wondered (pun totally not intended) if their was a way for me to play it without having to travel to find a store, then it hit me.
Since Super Mario Construct got a big update recently, adding in both the bubble flower, and those, talking flowers, from Wonder, I came up with the idea to recreate the first level, just like how tons of talented people make remakes of classic Mario games in the Mario Maker series, but better, because I had more tools and features in SMC that would help me make this look amazing.
The process was, rough, to say the least. I knew it was going to be tough, but this takes it to a different level, their were so many things in that first level that I tried to recreate, but they had their own problems that came with them, that I had to scrap them and do something more simple, I'm still really proud on how the final product turned out, but I think I'm gonna stick to making my own levels for a while now. The level isn't perfect, and I may have gotten a few things wrong, but I think I did good for my first remake of a level.
