Welcome to worlds best videos. We've compiled a list of incidents that students got punished for their actions on social media, let's get into it!
Early in 2006 Hermitage School District suspended Hickory High School senior Justin Layshock because he created an online parody of his principal.
In addition to a 10-day, out-of-school suspension, the administration ordered him to finish high school in the Alternative Education Program.
They also forbid him from attending his own graduation in the spring
On February 2010, judges ruled that the school district had violate his first amendment rights
On January 12th,2016 Walled Lake Western High School Superintendent took to twitter to apologize for the parking lot not being plowed.
17-year-old Leonardo Semma was mad at all the ice around the campus because shortly after being dropped off, he slipped on the ice and hit his head.
Other bad incidents happened as well with his peers such as students almost getting ran over and some even getting in accidents.
That’s when Leonardo had enough and decided to respond to the superintendent.
He said “sorry’s not going to melt the snow. Grab a shovel and get your ass out here at 5:30 Sharp boi”.
He was called into the principal’s office an hour later and recalls the principal being disappointed due to him believing Leo was a great student.
He was suspended for three days but wrote an apology letter to be able to attend school and take his finals.
He mentions it was his “Greatest achievement of my high school career,”.
A student who used to attend Kansas State University posted a photo on snapchat that got her expelled.
Paige Shoemaker’s snapchat of her and her friends mud mask made its way over to Facebook where Kansas state university was tagged.
The photo had the caption saying, “Feels good to finally be a N***er” also with a laughing emoji.
Paige mentions that they did not intentionally paint their faces.
She also says “I mean, not that this is a good thing but we kind of like, that word kind of happens in our friend group (because) we know that everyone is calm. We’re a big family so that word does not offend anyone in our group,”
She did post an apology publicly on her Facebook page.
In it she said, “we never intended for the picture to offend anyone. We had only meant for it to be taken in a funny way.”
Shoemaker is now expelled from the university.
